Concern is these newer SUVs are heavy on high tech. read stories about it stalling while you are on the freeway etc. mpg is not a concern while getting a V8 , but expect it to perform very well though. How many miles on your X5 when you bought it? I am thinking of getting something with 100K+ as those will be around 20K and the motor etc through its mid life?
Mine had 73k miles when I bought it, the engine is great , just some common stuffs to be fixed.....yesterday radiator temperature sensor leaks, fixed when Teflon tape and going to get a new one soon.
