I haven't taken my cars to the mechanic for years. handle all the repairs myself, although I might need bigger engine lift if i have to pull the V8 along with tranny out
Concern is these newer SUVs are heavy on high tech. read stories about it stalling while you are on the freeway etc. mpg is not a concern while getting a V8 , but expect it to perform very well though. How many miles on your X5 when you bought it? I am thinking of getting something with 100K+ as those will be around 20K and the motor etc through its mid life?
