2008 X5 4.8i buying advice
in the market for a used 2008 X5/4.8i. Any good or bad experience with this year/model is greatly appreciated, particularly the reliability of the engine and transmission. I thought a 4.8L V8 should be awesome to drive, but somewhere I read 4.8L V8 motor is not that great and poor gas mpg. Is that true? I am wondering what is an average life of the motor before it might start giving problem, assuming oil changes and other routine maintenance are done on time
use case will be for weekend short family trips (150ish miles rt) and occasional long trips (600 + miles)
