As for tightening all the bolts, I attempted to tighten all I could see when I noticed the leak. It did not help at all. You can easily tighten all the lower pan bolts but you can only get to a few of the upper pan bolts without removing the lower pan and the front differential.

Since the gasket material has not been updated, I am hoping the updated “locking” fasteners will make it last longer as I would rather not be repeating the process in 60-70k mi!

I will try to replace the new bolts on the upper oil pan , but only replace as many bolts as possible without removing pan. Because the lower oil pan is easy to replace, I will replace the gasket and replace the new bolts. hope it will work.
