You can wire the valves open but I personally don't see value in that since I like having the ability to close the valves, thus reducing exhaust note, and making my truck more quiet at places like picking my little people up at school.
And I understand cold start loudness, (I have the full Akra system w/dps) but have found that when I start the truck if I immediately put the transmission into reverse and then back to park this causes the engine management system to think I'm going to drive so it aborts the cold start program. The whole reason for the program is to get the catalytic converters up to temp asap, all modern engines do it. It's just that our beasts really like to roar!
