I dont want to drive around with no cats (and would not pass emissions testing) but Im wondering if removing the bulk of the cats would get you a cheap proxy to high flow cats (as clearly less restriction there but still some catalytic conversion going on)?

I never though of that but it should give gains with less restrictions from removing 1/2 the material
