Might not help, but I've used Carista to enable DVD in motion in mine, and after the settings took, it caused the entire iDrive system to reset. Point is have they flashed any updates to your iDrive system, maybe just reset everything back to stock, flashed an older version and then back to a newer version, flashed an older version and the issue stopped, etc?
