Actually, she is partially right. The suspension is tuned with an RFT in mind so technically if you put a non-RFT in there you would need a suspension adjustment to achieve the same results. In reality, the difference is barely perceptible and you can safely replace your RFT for your favorite non-RFT and you'll be fine. Many people have done that (including myself) and we live happily.
