Good links, thanks for posting, hadn't read these before, though being a 50i owner I'm well aware of all these issues. Been through the CCP, all the other recalls, valve stems, etc. Fortunately BMW has paid for nearly everything on mine, but my wife has grown quite annoyed of all the trips to the dealer (it's her daily). I don't really mind, dealer is close to work, and I always get a new model to drive.

With that said, at some point I will get into something newer, but what? If another X5, the I6 is more appealing from a reliability stand point, but I know I'd be disappointed in it's performance after having at TT V8. My wife really likes the Lexus RX350, but man that thing is a complete turd even with 295 HP
