In 2000 I was part of the BMWCCA USA group that went to Germany and attended the three day HPDE event at the Nürburgring. Each run group had about a dozen or so cars, and two instructors. One of our group instructors was Andy Bovensiepen, and he was driving an Alpina Z8. I was fortunate enough to get a lap of the Nürburgring in that Z8, with Mr. Bovensiepen at the wheel. What an experience that was!
