Well it's generally considered a good idea to replace pads and rotors at the same time. That way you can ensure proper pad material transfer to a fresh rotor. If you put new pads on old rotors the transfer of material could be uneven at first due to the old pads material transfer and wear on the used rotor. This could result in brake squeal and/or shuddering (the whole warped rotor myth) while braking.
Btw if you are going all out try to get some stainless steel brake lines. These will firm up and improve pedal feel. Not sure if any are made for our cars without getting a true bbk though.
