I'm halfway through the life of my 3rd set of plugs so still have 25,000KM to go.
That being said, I'm still running fine on original ignition coils.
Who has replaced their Ignition Coils - quite a few options out their these days....A few years ago, ELDOR (Eldor 12135A06753) were the lastest big thing - not many around now.
Now OEM is DELPHI....(BMW 12138616153) or BOSCH (0221504470) although there are of plenty of alternatives, listed for instance by DELPHI
Who is using wha these days? At what point did you start to have coil issues?
