As we said, the boot time cannot be compared unless folks state all the options they have.
Also note, the boot time starts as soon as any door/hatch is unlock via remote or locally. Not when the key is inserted or engine started.
Fully optioned, the iDrive takes approx.28 seconds. If you unlock the car via remote 30 feet away and take 20 seconds to to get in and start, you would only have 8 seconds left.
After the car is turned off, the compute ris still live for several mintutes, so the test cannot be repeated for a while.
