The VRSF FMIC has been proven to be a great mod for the $ compared to the other makers out there, and the 5" core shouldnt take too much trimming of plastic to fit if the piping can be figured out with relative ease.
i have been looking into this and came across this thread.

the OEM x5/x6 intercooler is already bigger than the OEM e9x/e8x N54/N55 IC.
obviously the size doesnt equal efficiency, but it will def be a less of a difference than on the E9x.
On the E9x/E8x there is a size constriction because of bumper available space.
the E7x dont have that.
OEM on E9x is: Stock
20" W x 5.12" H x 4.5" D
OEM on e70 is
22" W x 6.7" H x 4.3" D

About 1.5" taller, and 2" wider at the core.
Teeny bit not as deep.

if you get any more info let me know.
i am stage 1 Cobb, with a BMS intake (youc an use the F10 535 intake BTW on E70 N55), and have an ER DP sitting in a box which will be installed in about 2 weeks.
Also have a F10 535 CP on order, and would love to finish the bolt ons to make it a nice little racetruk!
