No problem. The hex key at the end of one of the bars in a slot that it slips into. When you unlock the cover you will see it. It goes back in another a a lot sides. The cover is locked when you lock the rack.

Also use a long flat tool like a butter knife to push down on the rubber strip along the channel when using the xadapt8. Otherwise you will push the rubber strip towards the other side. Just depress it like a doctor would with your tongue during an examine. The metal square head will slide along the channel. Best way to slide it is to lift up on it once inserted. It will butt up against the top of the aluminum channel and slides back and forth much easier.
