The 2011 has 40 more hp. Is that all? Are these 2 totally different engines? But even 360hp is alot. So.. Is it that .uch better? Like double the price? Usually people who put on a lot of miles quickly tend to not change the oil as often. So i dunno about the 2011. Maybe the 2007 was taken care of better?

Thanks!
These vehicles plummet in value as the years pass, so one being 4 years older means it's worth quite a bit less. And there's some notable differences…

While they're the same bodystyle/chassis (E70), they are quite different - the 2011-2013 models are known as LCI (Life Cycle Impulse - BMW lingo for mid-life updates). For the E70 LCI, the updates weren't the typical bumper/wheel/trim updates, they included updated engines and transmissions (diesel got all the other LCI updates - no change to engine/transmission).

2007-2010 the V8 was badged 4.8i (4.8L naturally aspirated V8 - 350 HP/350 TQ)
2011-2013 the V8 was badged xDrive50i (4.4L twin turbo - 400 HP/450 TQ)

The 2011+ also got the updated 8 speed automatic (vs. a 6 speed).

Other updates includes the LED rear tails lights, updated bumpers, etc. 2012 & 2013 models will have the LED coronas.

Sounds like you need to do some research These vehicles came equipped a million different ways (very different from your Acura…but maybe you have prior BMW ownership experience?) - if your particular about packages/options you should probably get familiar with a BMW VIN decoder if you aren't already. Or you could ask here if you're not sure

I'd personally get one with the Sport or M Sport package (M Sport would be 2011-2013 only). Also, that 2011 says it's a Sport but it's not - has the 20" Sport wheels (style 214) but it has the non-sport steering wheel, no fender flares, and chrome window trim (Sport & M Sport would have black). It does have the multi-contour seats (sounds like they're even ventilated) which is a big plus.

The '07 is a Sport model and has Adaptive Drive - that's a big plus!

Oh, and welcome to the forum!
