If this doesn't apply to recent vehicles then BMW should at least discount the DVD updates. Instead of $150 why not include it if you are under your 4 year service plan? Worse case charge $10 or $20 for it but not $150.
I don't know if my '13 M5 will be able to do OTA updates with this announcement. I suspect not as BMW just sent me an email about the 2015 BMW Nav Map update for $150.
