Dear Members,

While the X5M is the more popular platform there are several 5.0 that have a lot of horsepower left on the table. We offer a tuning solution for the X5/6 5.0 that involves a complete reflash of the DME without having to send your ECU in.

This solution includes our Stage 2 Performance Software for the 4.4 (5.0) handheld Personal Tuner which allows you to have your car programmed without sending in the ECU. The Personal tuner (pictured below) will also store you factory tune as well as aftermarket tune if you wish to revert back to stock for any reason (also if the dealer updates software). The process is straight forward and comes with instructions taking you step by step.

The gains are immediately noticeable, the 5.0 will pick up roughly 80 lb ft of torque and 50 HP. There are improvements to the throttle response as a result of the software upgrade as well as the mid range power. The pull to redline is much smoother and gas mileage is also slightly improved (assuming similar driving).
