I can get 22-23mpg when I feather the throttle or rolling on a flat, then when you hit a hill and have to press the gas the mpg drops quick.
When I boot it as I normally would (no point buying the 50d if I didn't like the speed) around town I get 16-17 and motorway 23-24.
The only reason why I'm having a moan about the mpg is I have just got rid of a 3.6l v8 diesel Range Rover sport that did 16mpg town and 24 on motorway! I only got rid because of the fuel!
By choosing the m50d I thought it was the smart choice having power and economy?
