Hmm, well there are pros and cons to each of course.

Here's my .02...

The E70 is still a stout looking SUV, but it looks dated compared to the F15...I think. The next generation X5 will be out in 1.5 years or so, meaning the E70 will soon be 2 generations old. If that matters?

With that said, unless you get the DHP (Dynamic Handling Package - rare/hard to find option), or to a lesser extent the Adaptive M Suspension on the F15, handling/driveability is said to be pretty disappointing on the F15, and that's compared to a non-M E70.

Have you driven either of these? I'd recommend driving each before deciding.

I think all of your other comments are pretty much true. While HP is 110 more in the E70 X5M, performance is not that much different, the updated N63tu in the F15 50i is a great performer. And IMO sounds better than the S63...they have a distinctly different sound.

I haven't been keeping up on prices but isn't an E70 X5M a fair amount less? If you go that route, I'd recommend a 2013 where you can get the optional LED headlights. Those go a long way in keeping the front end more modern looking.
