You probably addressed this by now ... but ... you need to move the car back on the trailer.
You should center the weight of the car over the 2 axles.
You can see in that pic how the front axle of the trailer is overloaded and i suppose your x5 has self leveling so it helps from sagging the x5 rear end.
I have a very similar setup... love the trailex.
