According to the EXIF, that was shot with the 50mm f1.8 set at f3.5. That's two full stops. If the aperture had been set to f1.8, you could have bumped the shutter speed to 1/60 and avoided (or at least decreased) the camera shake blur. With a T3i I'm not sure you could have pushed beyond the ISO 3200 you were set at without incurring a lot more noise. I know my T1i couldn't handle 6400. In low light situations like that, and with the distance to the subject you had, shooting wide open would yield better results.

On the T3i, try shooting low light shots in AV mode and keep the aperture set to f1.8. Watch your shutter speed and try to keep it above 1/40 or 1/50.
