After having my 50i in the shop for 3 months with the injectors being replaced multiple times, the DME replaced, and the fuel pump replaced, I dumped the continually misfiring POS and got an X5M.

I am willing to bet money it has to do with the 10% ethanol in our fuel now days and there is nothing BMW can do about it because it's mandated by law. They just need to hire the right lobbyist now.
