I could not agree more. I've had my 4-Series (435i) for about 16 months now (subtract 6-weeks for European re-delivery in US) and I love it. Very oddly had to replace the turbo charger about 4 months ago however other than that not one single issue and I have over 23K miles on it.
I do like to read the surveys as they do have value. Just how much value you place on them is another thing. It's another tool that can be used in the decision making process.
