A 1/4 tank is roughly 5 gallons? Let's assume gas weighs about 7 pounds per gallon (lighter than water)... So we're talking about 35 pounds... Call it 40 to be on the safe side...
40 pounds in a 5000+ lb vehicle, or less than 1% of the total weight... Not going to make a difference my friend. Sorry to burst your bubble, you're just making more frequent trips to the gas station.
