I have removed mine. It is on there really good with double sided tape, along with the 2 pins similar to all other roundels. I removed all my interior trunk pieces thinking it needed to be removed from behind to find that it was just on with a lot of stong tape. I am speaking of the entire chrome base that needs to be removed.
