I concur with the findings of bad valve guide seals! Once those suckers go bad,...the only fix is to replace them. My first BMW, a '79 320,...burned a quart of oil per tank of gas! No lie,....I carried oil with me all the time,...and bought an entire case for road trips! Quite an informative post! Thanks for sharing.
