I listened to several youtube video launches and gear shifts and just through the video it is apparent that this truck (X5M) does not Bang through the gears like the new M5. It is slowed down purposefully from BMW engineers. A truck with that kind of weight and towing package would never fire through gears like their sports cars. Too much abuse is always too much abuse.
I will say that the tuning of the trans computer should be able to address this to a degree. I am sure they already are.
