Agreed, that's quite a bit of $ for angel eyes! For the swap don't you need to replace the entire headlight unit, or you actually pull it apart and just upgrade certain components? I never really looked into that - I would have just replaced the bulbs had I gotten a 2011.

It is mate. And yes, the entire headlight unit needs to be replaced, plus some other random parts like the footwell module. The lights are easily distinguishable:
