i am well aware of different gallons. However Canadians will use US gallons when discussing mpg rarely do Canadians use british gallons for anything since liters are a much simpler unit of measurement. I am quoting US gallons
My current after a week of city driving is 17.1mpg and so you can convert it yourself that's 13.7L/100km
