I normally do plenty of research that by the time I am ready to buy, I know exactly what I am getting.

The only time I have really regretted a purchase was my E90, and that simply because I settled for what was available and didn't search longer for the options I wanted. I loved the car, it was just a pheasant. As I was driving home I realized it was a manual rear-view mirror, realized the stereo sound was lacking, the seats were uncomfortable, etc. Little things that I didn't really pay much attention to at first, but all things that were easily changed, so after some retrofits it was a great car.

The better looking half has been casually searching for a new car and keeps sending me various listings that I keep saying no to after looking them up. She bases her interest solely on looks, not by features, maintenance, known issues, etc. She has regretted her last 3 purchases so...….
