This software upgrade was designed and tested extensively at Evolve's in-house dyno facility and on the road to give optimal performance with maximum safety. Significant time was taken to develop the software to give improved throttle response and factory like drivability with a progressive power delivery.
Evolve's engine tuning philosophy is to improve driveability and enjoyment. They do this by giving an increase in power and torque throughout the entire rev range, and not just a 'glory' BHP figure found at high rpm where you don't spend the majority of your time. Evolve's figures are also very conservative and can easily be replicated on other dynos.

To get this software, Evolve now offers the revolutionary Evolve-R remote tuning tool. The Evolve-R is the latest hardware release from Evolve, enabling customers to load their industry leading ECU software upgrade directly into their vehicles themselves, at home. You can choose between the stock map or upgraded Evolve map at your convenience, and no evidence is left when you restore your stock software.
Do you already have other modifications? No problem. Evolve offers various stage maps for those with pre-existing modifications. Contact us to ensure you receive the correctly tuned maps for your modifications.

The E70/E71 X5/X6 M is fully compatible with the evolve-R cable so you can load your original/tuned maps into the car as you please. The ECU remap for the X5/6M releases a mammoth 60bhp/60 lbft torque once an adaptation time period has elapsed on a standard car, even more on a vehicle with higher flowing cats.
Through careful remapping of the factory BMW DME tables, various elements such as ignition timing, PSI, fuel delivery, and part throttles are reworked to create performance gains. The end result is an S63 which feels far sharper and pulls harder through the rev band.
On top of this, Evolve can also offer the option of engine management light deletion for those with exhaust modifications.
Evolve will have stage 2 tuning complete very soon for full downpipe back exhaust systems including Akrapovic's EVO system, in addition to upgraded FMICs and performance downpipes.
Options for the Evolve ECU Remap Include:
- Raising the rev limit
- Adjustability of throttle mapping
- Removal of CEL lights (ie: for those who will be running performance downpipes)
- Top speed governer removal
- Specific Fuel Octane Rating Optimization (ie: race gas, 91USOCT/93USOCT)
In addition, Evolve updates their software with newer versions periodically, and they will be offered to existing customers, for free.
