Just had the same issue.... Definitely have them change rotors, pads all the way around. This is an M and should not sound like you are running over birds backwards etc.... They changed mine last week and now they are perfect. You might have to make a stink, if you are not tight with any service people. They only replace least amount as possible based on BMW computers telling them mileage to allow replacement. You must replicate the noise in the garage of the service area and they will fix them.
