So earlier in the year I traded my e90 and ordered a 2011 X5 Sport. Well 3k miles later and about a month ago, the mirror moves erratically upon unlocking my doors. It's intermittent issue so it would happen consecutively for a few days then stop for a few days.

Fast forward a couple of weeks ago, i visited the SA and spoke to him Bout the issue. We both found the issue documented in the BMW service bulletin and this mirror issue seems to be across many different models. The cited problem is bad electrical connection at the mirror. Okay so I made the appt. And dropped the car off this morning at the dealer for repair.

Well when I went to pick up, the SA told me they cannot duplicate the problem nor generate any fault code?! I kindly remnd him both he and I saw the issue in the service bulletin. Long story short, he can't fix it and just to keep an eye on it.... That's insulting my intelligence.

Anyone else know a fix for this? This is our 6th X5 and I have another company leased 09 X5 comng due in a few months, I'm voicing my dissatisfaction with my wallet and going with something else if BMW treats me like I'm an idiot.
