I hear you on the nav auto-switching day&night mode. Even our 2001 Acura MDX had it at the time. What a shame ..
I found that the Comfort Access works for all 4 doors, hence costing $1,000 on the X and 5 & 7 series. The 1 & 3 series only works on the front two doors.
