My filtered air ducts were weeping oil from the day I bought the truck, then broke during removal due to being so brittle. The connecting line had a crack that wasn't visible from the bottom, I just happen to notice oil dripping down the bridge it sits on. I've yet to finish both vent pipes and vacuum lines. Point being is that the damage isn't always visible, but it seems it's best to be proactive and replace them at intervals of like 50K just to be sure.
