My wife drive ours and I use to sweat about the gas thing for the first few months, the gas nozzles won't go in the BMW diesel flapper anyway. We had our DPF melt once (my fault I was doing a top speed run) and the first thing BMW did was sample our fuel and send it away....nice little trick to get out of paying for warranty repairs. BMW said that sometimes Gas stations accidentally put some gas in the diesel tank and this causes issues. I hadn't fuelled up in two weeks so good luck going after the gas station two or three weeks later.

That's a good looking unit, I got a tune on mine it's a night and day difference.

Thanks for the advice. I have to say the diesel folks really look after each other.

I guess given what you said I should really be careful where I fill up my diesel. I was planning on getting it from Exxon or Citgo. I find they have the most competitive prices here.

I will consider the tune later on, I am still getting a feel for the diesel driving experience and so far not disappointed at all
