I'm new to the world of BMW and even newer to the site. I've searched everything I can think of, but have yet to see my exact question... Forgive me if I'm wrong (not sure how this forum reacts to this type of thing, but from the emoticons to my right, I would say like most other forums.

To the question...
I have a '13 X5 Xdrive 3.5i w/ M sport package with the 20" wheels. Tire sizes 275/40 R 20 front, 315/ 35 R 20 rear. Am I able to fit a 18" or 19" wheel and tire to the car for winter purposes? The look is second to me because as of right now, the car won't move or stop AT ALL! Finding myself manually down shifting to make sure I don't kill anyone!
Do I have any options other than a $1200 set of tires?
