Thanks for the feedback. I guess when I said "normal" tuning, I was referring to my past experiences with GM cars and the N54. On both, I can take logs using my PC or an app, forward those to a tuner, and then get back a new ECU map which I can flash on my car using my PC or an app. See Motiv for example, who does custom dyno tunes for $350 on N54s with a ton of revisions included.

There is no reason the S63 shouldn't be like this, since it uses the same DME as many other commonly tuned BMWs (Siemens MSD85.1). My guess is nobody is doing it because of our limited production, and the guys who do (Velos/etc.) charge a fortune and VIN lock hardware because they can.

Oh well, was hoping there was something I hadn't been able to find.
