Do your research first, but a lot of feedback points to the coverage being next to useless. Anyway, we ended up not purchasing anything. In your case, for almost $4K, you could pay for a transmission rebuild or another major repair, so you may be better off keeping the money in your pocket, and cross the bridge when you get "there".
