Luckily mine died 2 miles from home and just parked it in a residential neighborhood. Towed it to the shop the next day and got it fixed. It is one of those things that will leave you stranded so I would change it out so its not a surprise. I will doing mine DIY in 4 years or 50k miles to avoid this.
Also I should note my car is a 4 zone climate control (rear passengers have their own climate dial) and that water pump is different (has more plastic) than the non-4 zone X5's. |
Yep mines a 4 zone as well.
