According to the BMW website and the 800 number, my 2012 X6 has entered production! I had been given a week 14 build date when I placed the order on March 5, so it's right on target. The 800 number says that my anticipated completion date is April 7.

According to my dealer, though, there will be a little holdup getting the car, since the 2012s still have to pass the EPA 50-state emissions and CARB testing. I don't know how long that will take, but hopefully not too long!

And, true to form, the website doesn't give a complete and accurate description of the car I ordered. It's missing some options--like Apps. I've asked the dealer to check their internal systems and make sure that it's OK.
