Do NOT hesitate to address this. I thought I had time, no big rush to do it. Nope, got the sandblasting before the winter was up - within 3-4K miles of purchasing it. I haven't reached out to the dealer yet, but I would have rather done the 3M protectant and avoided the issue altogether.
