I've owned an x6 50 and an x5M and it really depends on your preference. The x6 50 has a great classic BMW feel...especially without adaptive drive...heavy feeling steering, tightly dampened, etc. To me, the M is actually less enjoyable to drive around town (for example the throttle is slushy in normal mode to save mpgs) but is much sportier when you push it...you really can't help but smile when you punch it just because it's so awesomely unnecessary for an SUV to perform like that.
