I see what you mean but I don't think it works like that.
Because the latest version maps don't allow the same graphics on the older Nav system either. It just updates the roads ( new road names, constructions, etc.)
Unless you absolutely need it, it would be a waste of money. When I first got my 2013 X5 in April of 2012.. I had the 2012 Map.. I got a 2013 map update during the summer for free of charge... otherwise I would have not gotten it. |
