Yeah its really not difficult. The only reason I could think of for not doing it is they might not have the coding abilities. I dont think autologic can do it, you need the BMW tools.
Unfortunately my M just crossed 55K so Ill have to take care of this on my own. I dont have any misfire codes or anything like that so the dealer wasnt going to do it. I dont have soot either just crank times can be a bit long.
