No worries... Also, rereading your original post, I noticed you mentioned putting it between the "infant" car seat and the leather... To be honest, the infant stage is no issue. The time you really need the thing is when they have sippy cups and little snack cups full of Cheerios..
And don't for a second say anything to the effect of "My kid won't have food in the car..." Hah, I tried that too. Not a chance! Its not that bad really, just plan to remove the car seats and clean under them whenever you wash the X. And with that being said, get proficient at removing and safely installing the car seat.
