I believe you're referring to the actual tip piping and its bends. The tips themselves have very very little impact on the performance of the exhaust system, the main restrictions are found in the piping leading to the rear muffler, and the rear muffler itself. I'd be surprised if there was any change at all if the truck was dyno'd back to back with the tips installed, and the tips removed to be totally honest with you.
