x6 in snow

With the DTC switch engaged on the dash which allows for some tire slip, the x6 keeps moving without any problem even in unplowwed sidestreeets w/8'' of snow. Only 2 problems; 1) Ice - when the bottom layers of snow gets packed into ice over time & by other traffic, 4 seasons which is what i've, is not enuf, so i did get stuck a couple of times, maybe blizzaks or yokohama snow tires would be neccessary. We haven't had this kind of winter on the westcoast for 35+ yrs. I brought a shovel so as soon as one wheel is clear, i was ready to go again
2)ground clearance:
Would have been nice if there was height adjustment 2 raise the car higher so the bottom is not scrapping the snow in between the tire tracks.
The lower black portion of my front bumper, on the passenger side snapped out of place a bit on a snow bank,
BMW should make a winter bumper attachment for people in the heavy snowbelt, to protect the plastic/carbon fiber?/polycarbonate? front bumper.
Otherwise, x6 is unstoppable!
