I don't know the exact amounts but a plain key can be had for less than $150. But it is just to unlock your drivers door and any other keyed locks in the car. I believe it's flat so it would fit in a wallet.
I've heard you can re code a used key fob at the dealer, but the key in the remote would be different at that point, if it came with one.
This doesn't exactly answer your question but there's a option with the "valet key". Depends if you're after that or keyless entry etc.
